Dual Action Scrub

A scrub that works two ways: round wax particles physically clear the surface, while lactic and salicylic acid loosen the bonds between shed surface cells and help keep pores clear. Salicylic acid is oil-soluble, which is why it helps clear pores; lactic acid works on the surface and hydrates as it goes. Tea tree leaf oil helps keep oily shine in check, glycerin and sodium PCA put moisture back, and edelweiss and horehound meristem cell cultures with vitamins A, C and E add antioxidants. For combination, oily and congestion-prone skin. Use twice a week or less often, as your practitioner advises: the formula contains both physical particles and acids, so exfoliating more often irritates the skin. Do not use on broken, inflamed or sunburnt skin, or on the same day as another exfoliating product. The acids and retinyl palmitate make skin more sensitive to the sun, so daily sun protection is needed. The product is fragranced — patch-test it on a small area first if you have a known fragrance allergy. Retinyl palmitate is a retinoid derivative, so speak to your doctor before using it during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Use after cleansing, on damp facial skin. Massage a small amount gently over the face and neck for about 30 seconds, avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Use twice a week or less often, as your practitioner advises. Follow with your usual routine; apply sun protection in the morning.
