Description
A cream-textured peel for use at home. It is applied in the evening and left on the skin for a couple of hours; in that time dead cells on the surface are loosened, leaving skin smoother and the tone more even. Exfoliation happens two ways: the plant enzymes papain and bromelain act on surface proteins, while glycolic acid (an AHA) loosens the bonds between cells of the outer layer. Diglycerin and kukui and safflower seed oils moisturise and soften at the same time, so skin is not left dry afterwards. Suits uneven, dull-looking skin. Do not apply to damaged or irritated skin, and do not combine it with other exfoliants or retinoids on the same evening. Glycolic and other fruit acids increase the skin's sensitivity to the sun, so daily sun protection is needed while you use it and for a week afterwards.
How to use
Once or twice a week, in the evening. Apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin, avoiding the eyelids and lips. Leave on for 1-3 hours, or for as long as your specialist advises. Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat dry. Follow with a moisturiser. Use sun protection the next morning and for the week that follows.
