Exfoliating Cleanser

A cleanser that exfoliates two ways: rounded jojoba beads lift away loosened surface cells, while the surfactants take off excess oil, grime and make-up. This is the 60 ml travel size — the same formula in a smaller bottle. Salicylic acid is an oil-soluble acid that helps clear the pores and reduce how visible they look; ammonium lactate adds a further surface exfoliation. Niacinamide, vitamin E (tocopheryl acetate), glycerin and sodium PCA round the formula off and soften the effect of washing. It is made for oily, combination and blemish-prone skin; for dry or sensitive skin it is too strong. Exfoliation and salicylic acid make skin more sensitive to sunlight, so daily sun protection is needed. Do not use on broken, irritated or sunburnt skin.

Start with once a day, in the evening; if your skin tolerates it well, use it morning and evening. Massage a small amount into damp skin in circular motions for 20–30 seconds, avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. In the morning, always follow with sun protection.
