Sunscreen + Powder SPF 30

A pressed mineral powder with a built-in brush. It exists to top up sun protection during the day, when putting cream over make-up is not practical. The filters are mineral only: titanium dioxide at 24.4% and zinc oxide at 23.4%. The base is mica with jojoba oil and jojoba butter, so the powder takes up excess oil and leaves a matte surface. Melanin, vitamins C and E and retinyl palmitate sit alongside as antioxidants. Suits oily and combination skin, and it travels well in a bag. It is worth being clear about what it does: this is a way to refresh protection, not a replacement for the morning sunscreen — a thin dusting of powder rarely matches the quantity at which SPF 30 was measured. It contains retinyl palmitate — if you avoid retinoids during pregnancy or breastfeeding, discuss it with your doctor.

Use over your morning sunscreen, not instead of it. Twist the case to feed powder into the brush. Sweep in circular motions over the face, neck and décolletage until evenly distributed. Reapply every two hours in the sun, and after sweating. It can go straight over make-up.
